Fianna Fail in Power
By the 1932 General Election, Cumann na nGaedheal were starting to lose support as a result of unemployment. People had expected that having its own government would mean that Irish people would be better off. Fianna Fail had been founded in 1926 when Eamonn De Valera split from Sinn Fein. By the 1932 General Election, they had a lot of support.
